It’s really great all Church structure has a unique style, luscious and alluring form, the beauty abide even in a hundred years of old many church are intact but unfortunately some of those are incompletely stand because of chaos during World War or destroyed by calamity.
When it comes church architecture, before, all I knew that all church here in our country where built during Spanish colonial are within baroque architecture, one good example comes to my mind is San Agustin Church. Confusing.. that’s why I rely on reading and I read that San Agustin is only one among four Baroque churches have been at the forefront of our country in history and listed by UNESCO World Heritage, therefore almost the churches here in our country influenced by a different architecture?
Meanwhile, regarding Romanesque Architecture at first get me confused about the difference between Romanesque and gothic architecture because both architecture are almost have the same pattern and when it comes to design, arc and even the floor plan and the two styles have intimately connected through advances in church as well as technique and peculiarity.
Romanesque Architecture influenced by Roman building techniques particularly the used of rounded arch and a consistency of detailed in church structure. It have been developed over a hundred years included a wide range of variant, very magnificent work even in a classic era the structures look advance comes to design and also skilled construction technique.
They usually formulated a new visual language in arts, the new artistic knowledge influenced architecture where use even nowadays. Much more interesting in Romanesque they have design where scenes from the bible which became the realm in Christian faith like the beauty of stained glass seen on those window , furthermore romanesque sculpture is one influenced strongly by Greek architecture because greek are specialized in curving, the beauty of sculpture within all churches much more interesting like in a majestic form of Christ and apostles however the sculpture not only confined human forms or in a portal design but Romanesque architecture usually also appear in a delightful curving seen on their capitals with a good pattern. When I have seen those capital I remembered Greek orders because those design have indication of three orders but I think Romanesque more on Corinthian orders which seen in many churches because of its slender and a simple pattern are widely common used than an intricate capitals.
